from Maria Joao Fernandes
Acharya:
I had my first contact with Ācārya’s teachings in January 2019, during an “Open Day“ at Sadvidya Portugal, in the beautiful village of Sintra.
I was very moved by the lecture I attended that day. Deep inside of me, it truly felt like I had just listened to something familiar that I had lost a long, long time ago.
I’m humbled by the depth and wisdom of Ācārya’s teachings, which have made me aware of the true purpose of human life. All teachings offer me so much, and Ācārya’s words always strike my heart, enabling me to look deep inside, reconnect, and be a better person.
It has been profoundly interesting to start understanding more about the numerable mechanisms of this life and how everything is intertwined.
Ācārya’s lectures on noble qualities have touched me deeply.
I’m extremely grateful for being a yoga aspirant guided by Dr. Shankaranarayana Jois and for having been given all the tools and practices necessary for a deepened spiritual life.
The positive impact on my daily life, both personally, family-wise, and professionally, is immense.
BYD:
BYD is an amazing project—a project of true education, reflecting Dr. Jois’s vision. What a beautiful mission: to preserve the wisdom of ancient Indian arts, sciences, and Sanskrit. I was astonished and deeply moved by everything there. I feel blessed and grateful for having had the honour to meet the BYD project in person.I can only wish the very best.
Namaste
Maria João Fernandes
