Ori, Israel
Ori Beck from Rehovot, Israel, married to Ifat, father to Tal, Yuval & Noa.
Two years ago, I finished my position in the Israeli Navy and was about to start a new way and a new job.
I looked for a vacation in India, and to explore the meditation technique that I was fascinated by for a long time.
I turned to my cousin (Lior), who I knew was familiar with India.
He told me that he is about to visit India, and maybe I will want to join him in a series of lectures by Ācārya. He gave me Ācārya’s book, I read it in no time and joined him on a life-changing journey.
That was the beginning of my yogic path and the beginning of many changes in my life. I adopted the yogic ways of life: I stopped drinking alcohol and coffee, stopped eating breakfast, onion, and garlic, and started eating only what was cooked today – ayurvedic cooking. I started to get up before the sun almost every morning and do āsana, prāṇāyāma, and sit quietly.
The weekly meetings with the Sadvidya Family and Listening to Ācārya’s lectures repeatedly help me grow and evolve.
In the last year, with the Corona pandemic and the lockdown, I had more time to be with my family and add oil baths and evening practices to the path. I also had time to think about my goals and find a new way and a new plan to reach them. I started a new way that will eventually lead me to financial independence and make time for the yogic way of life.
In the midst of all the uncertainty and fear of the pandemic, I started to face my biggest fear – financial security – as a real estate entrepreneur.
I am still working in a daily demanding job and it might be that the additional work gets me away from the tranquillity and quiet needed for a yogic path, but the goal is clear.
