The analogy of a tree is classic in yogic theory. Our roots, our sustenance securing roots, are hidden, just as the trees roots are hidden from view. All that we need to reach our goal, to be Realized/Liberated is supported through our unseen roots. Yoga is the perennial inquiry into the mechanisms of the human system, the three spheres, physical, divine and spiritual. It is the understanding of how to experience happiness that is 100,000,000,000,000,000 times more than the highest of extraordinary, yet common, human happiness. And so Ācārya began… as we sat quietly in the humble classroom in JP Nagar.
Ācārya is powerfully Natural in his articulations of the teachings. I never tire of sitting in his presence and listening through my heart, letting his words penetrate beyond my mind, beyond the known and into It’s core root.
Namaste,
Kristin
