Half-day Introduction to Jivana Yoga
Sebastopol, USA
Dear Jivana Participants,
We hosted a half day introduction to Jivana Yoga this past weekend in Sebastopol, held in Paul and Gillian’s simple, elegant, earthy home. It was received with much enthusiasm and appreciation.
The morning began with a guided practice, the air outside cool and fresh. We then enjoyed kashaya and fruit, followed by a heartfelt talk on yoga, as well as a small clip of Ācārya speaking on anāyāsaḥ, strainlessness. Ācārya shared direct and meaningful words for our hurried lives:
“Do things which are considered your duty, being calm and quiet, thereby those actions themselves will lead to Liberation.”
It was then time to venture into the warm kitchen to enjoy cooking Vegetable Bath and Chapatis, prior to sitting together for a delicious meal.
These gatherings, taking place in various countries and locations, are one thread that is beginning to weave purls of connection to this yogic wisdom from heart to heart.
We want to thank everyone from our Jivana group for their support and help.
