Born into a lineage of Vedic Astrologers, SHANKARANARAYANA JOIS (Acharya) worked for decades as a Professor of Literature and Sanskrit at Mysore College of Sanskrit. He is the founder and trustee of BYD, India, a school and institute dedicated to preserving the teachings and wisdom of Indian arts and sciences, and the Sanskrit language. He travels widely throughout India and the world delivering teachings to sincere practitioners.
