Jivana Yoga Review Weekend in Sintra
This past 3 days in Sintra there has been a very special and deeply appreciated retreat. All the group, about 18 attending, some staying here at the shala, the rest travelling, and all staying in the mood with Acharya and the Yoga Sutra.
The program began Friday night with a long meditation and a delicious Ayurvedic meal. Saturday and Sunday, the program was the same, starting with a long meditation at 6.30, then the Jivana Yoga asana class, an Acharya talk and a lively discussion with Jonathan, followed by a meal and then a hike led by rock-climber Stacey – Saturday’s hike was easy and Sunday was a wonderful challenge. Up and up many paths until we finally came to an amazing lookout point, then back to the shala for Yoga Sutra Chanting, Acharya, and discussion with Jonathan. A long meditation to the end of the day and a meal again.
It is a bit of a paradise here, a bit of a fairyland, so it is a really good place to let go of the world for a while. With Acharya’s enlightening words and loving group, nurtured by Jonathan and Stacey we were elevated to new places. A successful weekend.
Much Gratitude to all.
