Dear Foundation Course & Jivana Yoga Participants,
It has been an eventful and enriching time in India this past visit!
Here is a brief recap:
Classes with Ācārya began on a Monday afternoon. From the start, Ācārya spoke with devotion regarding his teacher Srimata’s passing earlier in the week. Her example of noble qualities guided Ācārya’s beautiful teachings.
Eight Noble Qualities
ātmaguṇaḥ = śīlaṁ = svabhāvaḥ = sadvṛttaṁ aṣṭau ātmaguṇaḥ
There was a visit to the BYD land.
It was inspiring to walk through the completed library that many of you generously donated towards and facilitated.
An auspicious visit to feed the cows…
A viewing and talk about the conservatory project, of which there is great anticipation for completion in the next year or two.
Class was held on the land in an open-air classroom surrounded by sweet-smelling jasmine.
By this time eight members of our group had come down with Covid and recovered, no one was seriously ill. It was unfortunate, and we will be making some changes to our Covid policies to avoid a similar situation in the future.
Once the Silent Retreat started things settled down. A group of 13 enjoyed the serene quality of Little Jungle in the Coorg mountains.
Silence was deeply appreciated by all. The atmosphere was a great support, the food was sattvic and tasty and the three, hour-long meditations allowed for true inner enrichment.
