I was recently asked how my life has changed since covid, and after much thought, I came to the conclusion that my day-to-day life really has not changed much. I am very grateful for this as I know many, many lives have changed drastically and probably not for the best. And so, why has my life not changed much? It’s because of family. Luckily for me all my family live very close; my sister and father live nearby, and my mother and kids live under the same roof with me most of the time. So although we don’t go out socializing as much as we used to, we do still have each other. And what a real blessing it is to be surrounded by family.
We cook and eat together, we play and work together and when possible we go on adventures together. I feel a great sense of purpose and well being having them all so close. Every day, I try and acknowledge and feel the dharma that comes from the support and love we have for each other. And although it’s not always easy being with each other it does always feel right. I can’t imagine having been without family through this pandemic. I am immensely grateful!
