Jivana Yoga Review Week – Sintra, Portugal
Post from Sergio
Every Jivana Yoga review week is intense, physically and mentally.
The Āryas make it feel so easy. I believe if we could stay with them every day, it would be easier to follow their steps and examples, and go steadily on this yogic path.
Just being around Jonathan, Stacey and Lior has that effect on all of us, and I feel privileged to live so near and be with them every week.
I really enjoyed this fourth chapter (YS) and was looking forward to the explanations of Ganapathi Ārya on these sūtras. He simplifies complex concepts, using a lot of simple examples that touch our hearts, and so these sūtras really stick with us, without the mind intervening. I’ll need more years to implement these new ideas into my lifestyle. I’ve learned from Jonathan, it starts by working on the intention, then the rest will follow and manifest.
Āyurveda was also interesting, it demands we take care of so many things while doing our daily routine. These I’ll keep in the back of my mind – to understand how to implement them in a balanced way. There are so many things I am not doing right, but even so, I am still able to feel some peace, calmness and hope of the de-evolution of the mind.
I already miss the Yoga Sūtra. The Yakṣa Praśna talks are new to me, and I hope one day I will feel the same as I do about the Yoga sūtra, which gave me so many answers for what I was looking for.
I also enjoyed the company of the other students, fellow companions on this spiritual journey, and it was good to see our faces change, every time an answer or clarification was given, and signs of understanding and approval were shown in our expressions.
I’ve found what I were looking for and that’s something precious and rare in this world. I also know that I can only go to where my human effort leads me and my previous actions, but if not in this life, I am preparing a very good next life for Realization and Liberation. I’m already happy with what this life gave me, so I can only imagine what more this life and future ones will show me.
Namaste
