When you look at this window (the retreat movie), you get a sense of what the whole weekend was like. But not just a sense; you feel part of it. You get a sense of community, of supporting each other.
You feel that you are in the presence of good people. And, most important of all, you feel that you are being guided by noble people.
And you cannot but feel a deep sense of Gratitude, and think that:
“We must have done something good in previous lives, to be part of these actions that contribute and support us in acquiring dharma.”
The most important one is to acquire dharma. As we have understood, the word “dharma” is mainly used in two senses: the primary sense and the secondary sense.
One is a condition of body and mind that may support our Realisation. That is dharma.
Another is the right action that may keep this condition of body and mind perfect or which may bring that condition of body and mind. That action is considered dharma.
